T-11 Days (aka Oooh, I'm incredibly blessed!)

Apparently staying in bed until nearly noon is good for the soul, because when I finally got up this morning I felt great. My many insecurities are quiet and I can't wait to get on the plane to London! I've been highly productive today and now I'm throwing an impromptu party with old friends!
P.S. Laundry is done.

Note to Self

Extreme boredom is good for motivating the packing process. Or at least the laundry that precedes the packing process.

T-12 Days (aka What Have I Gotten Myself Into)

I have a list!
Uh, no. I have six lists. Things to Buy Here, Things to Buy There, Things to Bring, Things to Do, Things to See, and Places to Go. Also three spreadsheets of cost breakdowns and a calendar of events. I attended weekly meetings all last semester to prepare for the experience of going abroad and grow familiar with the people on the program. And yet I still feel wholly unprepared and frankly terrified of the other 25 people going. Also - my list of things to bring is MUCH larger than my suitcase.
I know it's going to be wonderful once I'm there, I really do. What better place than London for a musician who loves to read and drink tea? This program is one of the reasons why I chose Lewis and Clark in the first place, so I don't understand why crawling back into bed sounds so much more appealing than packing. On the other hand, my English Breakfast Tea is a lifesaver.
